One brand partner, our Scottish Cashmere mill, in business since 1897, sits on the banks of a beautiful, historic Loch. This Loch gives the vast supply of pure, soft Scottish water that is essential to the exceptional feel - and the look of our beloved cashmere. The

loch has a vital part in Scotland’s past too… the ill-fated Mary, Queen of Scots, was imprisoned in the castle there. Today the Loch hosts a world-renowned RSPB* nature reserve. And all the water used by the mill is returned to the loch - cleaned to make sure the brown trout, pink-footed geese, and 35,000 wintering birds can thrive. Set on the southern shore of the Loch, this nature reserve offers a great day out for families, nature lovers, and wildlife watchers alike. Osprey visit the Loch to fish during the summer, while up to 20,000 pink-footed geese fly in from Iceland come autumn. Another partner we’re proud to align with is the United Nations.
