Closing Credits
Dirickson says he is focused on having a “broader impact on society,” with his eyes on Native American and African American communities and refugees—all groups of people who need assistance and representation. “I have some Native American blood, and this is a community that has, for the large part, been ignored. I want to create a large charitable fund that could benefit Native American communities when it comes to food, housing, jobs, and education.” An important life lesson he has learned from being a Bellwether member is to think big and never put restrictions on your dreams. “There is no limit to what you can achieve as long as you have the right information, metrics, and mindset to achieve whatever it is you want.” So, he believes—along with Bellwether— that taking a chance isn’t as daunting and overwhelming as people believe as long as you are doing something that you love. He is so inspired by the Bellwether Credo that guides these remarkable people on a path to becoming even more amazing that he was prompted to write a credo for his law firm; something to use as a guide in their daily lives as sports and entertainment lawyers. For the next generation of lawyers, his advice is to work diligently in school, then connect with a lawyer in the specific field of interest for real-world application of what has been learned. “Find a mentor who will teach you and soak up
everything you can,” he added. “Then apply what you have learned.”
When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Dirickson said, “For me, it’s all about helping others. I get to advise people, and most of the time, I get to see them accomplish their goals and dreams. It is extremely satisfying to see this come to fruition through the advice that I am giving them.” When it comes to the legacy he wants to leave behind, Dirickson said he would love to operate branches of his law firm in several additional cities outside of Nashville while maintaining a work/personal life balance. “I believe it is all about being empathetic to the passion that my clients have for what they are doing,” Dirickson said, “while truly caring about their well- being.” For more information, or to connect with Landon Dirickson, visit https://www.diricksonlaw.com/.
