Testosterone is the building material for a man. When a man reaches his early 40's testosterone begins to decrease quickly as he ages. Few people are aware that when testosterone declines, being the master male hormone, everything about the man’s physical and mental physiology also decreases! This includes the immune system and some of the necessary hormones to keep mental fitness in balance. The decline of testosterone causes the breakdown of hormones in a man’s body and does not allow him to feel the same physical prowess as he did when he was younger. It can cause him to feel like less of a man physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, causing serious repercussions on his psyche and not only how he views himself, but how he perceives the world views him. The result is that he feels less in control and not the man he once was who previously took charge of situations. It goes back to when men were relied upon as the hunter and protector of their families. That hardwiring in our nature in present times would equate to a man who is the provider and breadwinner of his family. The decline in his testosterone would lead to disengagement and detachment from his responsibilities without a full understanding of why. This continued de-escalation of a man's masculinity can be seen worldwide today. The effects of the decline in testosterone can take the shape of suicidal or violent rage tendencies in men, depending on location and age group. The percentages are high across the board worldwide.

Based on research from multiple sources, the optimum range is in the 600s, “the Goldilocks Zone," not low or high.
